About

Standing in the heart of Shazand, in the province of Markazi in central Iran, the mosque of Javad al Aimmah, upon him be peace, also known as the cultural centre of Javad al Aimmah, serves both the daily prayer needs of its neighbourhood and the educational programmes of its community elders. Shazand lies in a fertile highland valley fed by streams from the Zagros mountains, surrounded by wheat fields, orchards, and villages that have practised Islam for many centuries. The town is known regionally for its cold winters, for its major petrochemical industry, and for the faithful devotion of its residents to mosque life across every season of the year.

The title Javad al Aimmah, the Generous among the Imams, is borne with great reverence among the Prophet's household, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. Every worshipper who crosses the threshold remembers the generosity, patience, and knowledge that shaped his short life, and the neighbouring cultural centre draws its strength from that example. The Companions, may God be pleased with them, taught that a believer's home is small but his heart is generous, and every family that contributes to the upkeep of this masjid quietly renews that teaching.

Architecturally, the mosque follows the restrained style of central Iranian town masjids. A carpeted prayer hall with a simple mihrab, a wooden minbar, ceiling lamps that cast a warm glow on winter evenings, and gas heaters that keep the air comfortable during long snow bound months. The cultural centre occupies adjoining rooms used for Qur'anic study, lectures on ethics and family life, and gatherings of remembrance during Muharram and Safar.

On Thursday evenings the hall fills with recitation, and during Ramadan it becomes the hub of community iftar meals and taraweeh prayers. Visitors, travellers, and newcomers to Shazand will find on this page the current prayer times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha at the mosque, along with its precise location and community notes to help any guest crossing Markazi province stop, perform wudu without anxiety, and join this warm congregation during any month of the calendar year with comfort and reassurance.
